Nursery design

Ok. So, we had been reading how it can be a good idea to start early on the nursery to space out costs. So, this weekend, we went to Buy Buy Baby to look at cribs. We had looked at Babies R Us after the appointment last week, so we were checking out another store. Well, we fell in love with this:

It's Sophia by Sorrelle. And, we loved the price. So, we went ahead and ordered it. We were fine with that. We wanted to start looking so we could space out the costs. So, we fell in love with it, sure, Babies R Us has it online, but they didn't have it at the store to look at. So, we ordered it while we were there. They had the crib in stock, however, the changing table/dresser combo was not. So, we left waiting to see if one could be sent in from another store as we would just pick both up at the same time.

Well, come to find out, the dresser/changing table combo thing is backordered and will eventually be sent in from Brazil. That could take 18-20 weeks! Good thing we ordered it now! That will make me 30 weeks if it takes 18 weeks. So, we'll pick up the crib this weekend and off we go.

I have 3 days off in March during Jason's spring break. My big ultrasound is scheduled right before then (I moved it from March 31 to March 25). So, the plan is to find out what it is, and start decorating the nursery accordingly. We still want to do Peter Pan. We love the idea. Fairies and mermaids for a girl, lost boys and pirates for a boy, and children never wanting to grow up. It seems like it might be an impossible challenge. However, I did come across this:

It's Winnie the Pooh, but it gave us the idea to do big color squares incorporating Peter Pan colors (blue for water and sky, green for the land, yellow for pixie dust...) and how the picture above has letters or flowers and such in some of the squares, maybe we could put Peter Pan artwork in squares. We already have 2 pieces from when we first talked about doing Peter Pan (years ago). Then, we could do something simple for the actual nursery bedding. Do you think that would work or would that just be a big mess?

Hey I just finished posting about our nursery lol!! I love your furniture - yay for making such a big baby purchase! I love your nursery ideas! I think the squares would look awesome but I imagine that they would take a lot of work.
